The global event known as “Star Rain” changed Terrania, the course of history, and reset the calendar. A meteor shower brought alien materials to the planet—Aqua Incaris crystalline symbiotes in the Perennial Ocean and the lakes of Breannin in Antilia, and agirium metal in Demekhal and Malrenna. All years from henceforth were marked as “A.S.R.” (After Star Rain)
After Star Rain
3 A.S.R.
The first Daedali (humans with superhuman abilities) began being born on Terrania, as a result of the Aqua Incaris symbiote particles in the water systems. The earliest record was of a woman in the Breannin Mountains of Antilia who gave birth to Daedali triplets. The first child was a girl, Meisa, who developed the ability to control the elements. The second was Amael, a boy with telepathy, telekinesis, mind-control, and healing powers. The third was Helian, a boy with supernatural strength, speed, and senses. They grew up to become the next rulers of Antilia and their existence influenced religion in the country.
26 A.S.R.
Meisa became Queen of Antilia and married her brother, Amael, who became her King Consort and advisor. She appointed Helian as the General of the Army. Tensions quickly grew between the siblings as Helian disagreed with his sister’s decisions.
29 A.S.R.
Helian started a civil war, which resulted in Antilia becoming split into two countries. The Antilian Queendom remained matrilineal while the Antilian Kingdom was made patrilineal by Helian, who became its king. Historical records state that Helian fathered over two hundred children with his many concubines, only a hundred of whom inherited his abilities. Meisa and Amael had three children together. One inherited her elemental powers and the other two inherited their father's mind-based abilities. Amael had twenty more children with lovers prior to his marriage, only eight of whom inherited his powers.
Over the next 500 years, the birth of Daedali humans spread across the globe, with their highest concentration in Antilia and Endala.
731 A.S.R.
The Antilian Empire formed and began colonising Almoretzia. Nomadic tribes of Feylori natives fought, lost, and fled to Endala.
2,110 A.S.R.
Antilia suffered “The Submersion” (also known as the “Judgement of Dynoces” by religious people). Tectonic plate shifts caused catastrophic earthquakes that sank around half the Antilian landmass into the Perennial Ocean, creating an archipelago. Volcanic eruptions in the Crescent Mountains created a curve of unnavigable rock formations and reefs named the Antilian Crescent. The opening to the ocean in the east became known as the Gates of Dynoces. Millions of Antilians perished in the floods and many were displaced. A Daedali boy named Zarael who could control water gave his life to save thousands of people by holding the tsunamis back until the people got to higher land, to safety. For his sacrifice, the Antilians sainted him, built a temple in his honour, and named the Gulf of Zarael after him.
2,111 A.S.R.
The Antilian Empire collapsed and seven warring independent states formed: Breannin, Rayanis, Kalia, Lusande, Henesper, Gaelar, and Angeleon. Almoretzia fell under the rule of Temar, to whom they paid tribute to avoid being invaded.
2,116 A.S.R.
The Exodus—Thousands of Antilian Luanese “Boat Dwellers” migrated to the Zaluan Archipelago and settled there, where they developed their own cultures.
2,131 A.S.R.
After 20 years of government instability since The Submersion threw the Antilian nations into chaos, the seven Antilian states finally united under one king who allowed Breannin, Rayanis, and Kalia to remain matrilineal. He also regained Almoretzia from the Temarese during his rule.
3,771 A.S.R.
The Demekhali Empire invaded Temar.
4,225 A.S.R
Antilia entered a dispute with the Demekhali Empire over land (The Daughter Islands). There is debate about what happened, but what is certain is that the only son of the Demekhali Emperor was sent to marry the Archduchess of Almoretzia. He allegedly tried to force himself on her when she refused him and she cut his penis off, then sent him back home. This caused the enraged Demekhali Emperor to take vengeance through genocide against the Antilian nation.
4,231 A.S.R.
After a six-year war, the Demekhali Empire invaded Almoretzia. They killed millions of the Luanese Antilians settled in Almoretzia, castrated male civilians who surrendered, then raped the women and took them as war brides, forcing them to bear their offspring to ethnically cleanse them. This war became known as the Tiare Massacre.
4,233 A.S.R.
The Demekhali Empire sent hundreds of warships to invade Antilia. After barely managing to win the battle against the first two fleets, the Antilian king decided to take drastic measures to prevent more war in the future. He appointed eight of the most powerful Antilian Daedali to lift the seabed into karst rock formations and reefs in the east, closing off the Gates of Dynoces and forming the Antilian Ring. This caused floods on the west coasts of Almoretzia and Endala, killing thousands of people. It also caused floods on the east coasts of the Antilian archipelago, but the Antilians evacuated their civilians first to avoid casualties.
